2024 KCM Conference 

Each year, the Kentucky Center for Mathematics (KCM) brings together math educators from Kentucky and across the United States for two days of wonderful professional learning. The KCM's annual math conference is one of the best conferences for math educators in the United States. Attendees learn from nationally recognized keynote speakers and choose from over 60 breakout sessions over two days to grow professionally, recharge mentally, and rejuvenate emotionally. The KCM expects to sell-out again in 2024, which means 600 educators will gather together in March to connect, share, inform, support and inspire one another as they share their desire to improve mathematics education, their own teaching skills, and their students' abilities to succeed. We hope you will join us!      

2024 KCM Conference Overview:
THEME: INSPIRE: Creating Meaningful Connections
LOCATION: Lexington Griffin Gate Marriott Golf Resort & Spa (1800 Newtown Pike, Lexington, KY 40511)
DATES: Monday and Tuesday, March 4 & 5, 2024
TIME: 8:00 am - 3:30 pm
COST : 
  • $200 per person EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION now through Friday, December 29, 2023, at 11:59 pm.
  • $250 per person starting Saturday, December 30, 2023, until Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at 11:59 pm.  
REGISTRATION CAP: 600 attendees. (Once 600 people register, registrations will close and a wait list will be added.)
FOOD AND DRINK:
  • Coffee, tea and water stations will be available both days.   
  • A hot buffet lunch will be provided to all registered attendees both days from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm
  • Breakfast will NOT be provided either day.    
 CHECK-IN TIMES:
  • All registered attendees must check in at the KCM table at the Griffin Gate hotel. 
  • Early Check-in will be available Sunday night, March 3, 2024, from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. 
  • Monday morning check-in will take place from 7:00 - 8:00 am.
  • At check-in, attendees will receive their 2023 KCM Conference name tag that needs to be worn both days; they will also receive their 2024 KCM Conference bag and their KCM Conference cookie (a beloved and delicious KCM Conference tradition!)
  • Attendees only need to check in once. 
 
REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION EMAIL:
Please note that anyone who successfully completes their registration for the 2024 KCM Conference will receive a registration confirmation email from kcm@nku.edu. This email, because it will have a copy of your invoice attached, often goes to the recipient's junk or spam folder. Please check your junk and spam folders regularly after you register for emails from the KCM about this event. 

IMPORTANT CHANGE REGARDING KCM CONFERENCE INVOICES:
Your 2024 KCM Conference invoice must be paid BEFORE the conference! Your 2024 KCM Conference invoice must be paid BEFORE the conference! Payment is due no later than 45 days after registration or before the start of this event - whichever comes first.    
  • Anyone who is told by their school, school district or organization that is not possible, must contact the KCM at 859-572-7690 before coming to the conference to discuss their situation. Often this is just a misunderstanding of what the school, school district or organization needs before they can submit payment.   
  • When you check-in at Conference, if your registration fee has not been paid, you will need to provide payment at that time; the KCM will accept payments by check or credit card. No cash will be accepted. The KCM will also accept a Purchase Order and will contact the issuer of the Purchase Order to verify that payment will be made against that Purchase Order in the coming week.

KCM REGISTRATION FEE CANCELATION POLICY:
  • Once you register, your registration fee cannot be canceled or waived after Friday, January 19, 2024.
  • If you register and then wish to cancel your registration, you must call the KCM at 859-572-7690 or email us at kcm@nku.edu before January 20, 2024, to have your registration voided and your registration fee waived.
  • If you need to cancel for any reason after January 19, 2024, you/your school/your school district/your organization should find someone to attend in your place as your registration fee will not be waived and must be paid. Contact the KCM in this situation so your registration can be updated with your replacement's information. 
  • For an unexpected illness or unforeseen problem that keeps you from attending on March 4 and 5, 2024, you must contact the KCM as soon as you are able. Those situations will be handled on a case-by-case basis.
