ABOUT THE KCM:

The Kentucky Center for Mathematics (KCM) is a state-funded agency created by the Kentucky General Assembly in 2006. The KCM Offices are located on the campus of Northern Kentucky University and KCM Regional Consultants work throughout the Commonwealth. KCM envisions a world in which everyone is mathematically enlightened and empowered. To actualize this vision, KCM works with educators throughout the state to evolve and sustain a schoolwide culture that engages students and guides them in making sense of mathematics. The KCM offers a variety of professional learning events for math educators each school year; these courses are open to registrations. The KCM also provides customized professional learning to Kentucky Schools Districts and partners with Kentucky education organizations like the KEDC.

ABOUT THE KEDC:

In 1965, representatives of 17 Kentucky public school districts and Morehead State University (MSU) applied for and received grant funds under new landmark federal legislation to create a "supplementary education program." The Kentucky Educational Development Corporation (KEDC) was created, and since then, works to fulfill their four mission statements: Focus on the improvement of the education community, always providing high quality services to all; Foster a culture of customer service; Focus on preparing learners for global competitiveness, keeping on the cutting edge of all practices, purposes and resources; Provide a professional environment (clean, safe and respectable) and hospitality to all to promote a learning atmosphere.
