2023-24 FLOYD COUNTY DISTRICT SUPPORT 
  • LOCATION = Floyd County Schools District Office, 442 KY Rt. 550, Eastern, KY 
  • CONTACT =  Serena Anderson, Assistant Superintendent. Serena Anderson retired June 2023. New contact is Kathy Shepherd.
  • COST = Serena Anderson was invoiced via non-member dues invoice #1711 for all the the Floyd County District Support Training; individual participants were NOT invoiced. This invoice was paid in April 2023.   
  • TIME = 8:30 am – 3:30 pm (Lunch break from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm)
  • DATES = This Training is a 3-part series. KCM will lead training session in February 2023, October 2023 (was originally scheduled for September 2023) and February 2024. 
GRADES K-2 KAS & COMP PRIMARY

K-2 Training will have 29 participants per email from Heather Hackworth and Serena Anderson to Kelly DeLong on 1/9/23

Session 1: Monday, February 13, 2023. 
  • Materials for all 3 days driven from NKU to Floyd County on 2/1/23 by NKU. 2 boxes per participant - 1 smaller KCM box containing copies and books and more, and 1 larger EAI materials box. Only 21 teachers participated but Floyd County was given all 29 sets of boxes so they have 8 sets of 2 boxes that were not used on February 13, 2023 that could be given to new teachers who join Floyd County in 2023.    
Session 2: Friday, October 27: 8 am - 3 pm at the District Office.
  • Was originally scheduled for Sept 6 by Rachel Crider from Floyd County, but was changed on 8/25/23 by Kathy Shepherd
  • Only 12 teachers attended - 8 who attended session 1 in Feb and 4 teachers who had not attended session 1
  • Floyd County Schools could not find the 16 boxes left over from Session 1 in February 2023 so new teachers did not have materials during the session or to take with them.
  • Kathy Shepherd apologized for the issues with Session 2. She said 2 schools scheduled other activities for their teachers on Oct 27 and so their teachers did not attend session 2. She is continuing to look for the lost boxes from February. Each participant gets 2 boxes - so there are 8 2-box sets missing.  

Session 3: Friday, February 9, 2024
*Was originally scheduled for Feb 16, 2024, but was changed on 8/25/23 to February 9, 2024 by Kathy Shepherd.
