2023 KY Math Summit #2 (December 4, 2023) 

The Kentucky Center for Mathematics (KCM) - in conjunction with the Kentucky Council of Teachers of Mathematics (KCTM) and the Kentucky Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators (KAMTE) - is hosting a second 2023 KY Math Summit. 

The purpose of this event is to gather dedicated mathematics educators to discuss, analyze, and propose research-based solutions, with the aim of enhancing student achievement in mathematics across the state of Kentucky. 

The first 2023 KY Math Summit took place on Monday, September 28, in Berea, KY, and 87 math educators participated in that event. You do not need to have attended the first KY Math Summit in order to participate in this one. The KCM hopes educators who attended in September will return and that math educators who were unable to attend in September will join us to share their insights and ideas for improving math education in Kentucky.    

This second KY Math Summit will meet in Hopkinsville, KY, which is in Christian County in Western KY:

TIME: 9 am - 12 pm Central Time
LOCATION: The Bruce Convention Center, 303 Conference Center Dr, Hopkinsville, KY 42240.

Please join us to share your knowledge, insights and ideas as we work together to answer the following questions: 

• What are Kentucky teachers doing NOW to influence student achievement?
• What can Kentucky (teachers, administrators, legislators, and others) do to SCALE these practices across the state?
• What does Kentucky (teachers, administrators, legislators, and others) need to do NEXT to improve student achievement even more?
