Event Description
Nelson County Schools has contracted with the KCM to provide customized professional learning for the 2023-24 school year.
This cohort is for the PreK Mathematics Professional Learning facilitated by KCM RC Julie Adams.
Nelson County provided the following dates to cover 8 half-day sessions for each teacher:
Sessions 1 & 2: Thursday, August 17, 2023 (Backpack Day: All 17 teachers attending Session 1 in the morning and Session 2 in the afternoon - 8:30-11:30 and 12:30-3:30)
Session 3:. Monday, October 9, 2023 (Backpack Day: All 17 teachers will attend session 3 in the morning)
Session 4: Friday, November 3, 2023: (Classroom coverage needed: Some of the 17 teachers will attend session 4 in the morning and some will attend in the afternoon) *Session 4 changed from Nov 10 to Nov 3 on 10/10/23 per email from Julie.
Session 5: Tuesday, January 2, 2024 (Backpack Day: All 17 teachers will attend session 5 in the morning)
Session 6: Friday, February 2, 2024 (Classroom coverage needed: Some of the 17 teachers will attend session 6 in the morning and some will attend in the afternoon)
Session 7. Friday, March 8, 2024 (Classroom coverage needed: Some of the 17 teachers will attend session 7 in the morning and some will attend in the afternoon)
Session 8: Monday, May 20, 2024 (All 17 teachers will attend Session 8 in the morning)
INVOICING:
Originally Teresa Henderson (Director) was to be invoiced for the cost of materials for all three cohorts (PreK, K-2, and 3-5) through her KCM member record and a non-dues invoice #1717; however, Nelson County later asked that the individual schools be invoiced. Nelson County paid for 25 sets of PreK materials at $225 per set ( 25 X $225 = $5,625)
- This event is only for PreK teachers from Nelson County Schools.
- The KCM was told to provide materials for 25 PreK Teachers
- The PreK sessions will be held at the Nelson County Early Learning Center, 1200 Cardinal Drive, Bardstown, KY, 40004. (502) 350-3914
- The PreK Director is Stacey Chevalier.
