Kentucky Mathematics Coach Collegial Support (VIRTUAL) with Cindy Aossey & Dee Crescitelli (2026-2027)
This is Year 3 for this online professional learning and support opportunity from the KCM for KENTUCKY K-12 Mathematics Coaches only. This group is for anyone working in Kentucky in a supportive role to teachers, which includes School Administrators. The KCM created this collegial support group so mathematics coaches throughout the Commonwealth could network and connect with each other. Together, this group will explore coaching resources and discuss ways to support teachers in their pedagogy and content knowledge grounded in Kentucky Academic Standards.

This 2026-2027 Collegial Support Group for Kentucky Math Coaches includes the following:
1. Seven 1-hour monthly ZOOM meetings on Thursday afternoons where participants can interact with fellow KY math coaches and learn from KCM Leaders including Director Cindy Aossey and Faculty Assocaite Dee Crescitelli, along with other special guest speakers.
2. Opportunities to connect and collaborate with KY math coaches to share ideas and experiences.
3. Active participants will receive a copy of the book The 5 Practices in Practice: Successfully Orchestrating Mathematics Discussions.  When each KY Math Coach registers for this event, they will select the grade band of this book that they wish to receive: Elementary, Middle School, or High School.
4. Because virtual is great but in-person is better, the KCM will hold a special, invitation-only, get-together session for this group at the 2027 KCM Conference in Lexington on March 8th or 9th.

COST: FREE for Kentucky math coaches. (You must work as a math coach or administrator in a KY school or school district to join this group.)
LOCATION: Virtual ZOOM meetings

2026-2027 Kentucky Math Teacher Leaders (KyMTL)

The Kentucky Mathematics Teacher Leaders (KYMTL) program brings together K–12 teachers and teacher leaders who are interested in implementing and sharing best practices in their classrooms, schools, and districts. Participating in this group is a one-year commitment that begins in September. Participants meet monthly, either on a Wednesday afternoon (4:45–6:00 PM ET) or Saturday morning (8:30–9:15 AM ET), for virtual professional learning sessions. Participants choose the monthly session day and time that works best for them. Full-group sessions (either virtual or in-person) will be offered 1 or 2 Saturdays per year.

This professional learning and support group was formed by the Kentucky Center for Mathematics (KCM) in 2020; and since that first year, the passionate members have advanced their careers and helped bring about positive changes in their classrooms, schools, and districts! (You can view the current and past KyMTLs on the the KCM website's KYMTL page under the LEADERS tab.) There is no cost for Kentucky teaches to participate in this group. Participants attend meetings facilitated by KCM Faculty Associate/NKU Education Associate Professor Funda Gonulates or other invited guest speakers who are leaders in mathematics education.

Registration for the 2026-2027 KyMTL Program will close on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

The KCM is proud to support Kentucky Math Interventionists! This online collegial learning and support opportunity is open to all Kentucky K-8 math intervention teachers who want to grow as professionals and share their knowledge, successes and struggles with fellow math intervention teachers.

This 2026-2027 Collegial Support Group for Kentucky Math Interventionists includes the following:
1. Seven one-hour monthly ZOOM meetings where participants can interact with fellow math interventionists and learn from KCM Director Cindy Aossey and KCM Regional Consultant Julie Adams, plus other special guest speakers.
2. A monthly newsletter filled with teacher tips and intervention resources will be emailed to all registered Kentucky math interventionists.
3. Active participants will receive the 2026-2027 KY MIT Welcome Kit, as well as two MIT Support Boxes (one in Fall 2026 and one in Spring 2027).
4. Because virtual is great but in-person is better, the KCM will hold a special, invitation-only get-together for this group at the 2027 KCM Conference in Lexington on Monday or Tuesday, March 8 or 9, 2027.

COST: FREE for Kentucky math interventionists. (You must work as a math interventionist in a KY school or school district to join this group.)

NOTES ABOUT THIS KY MIT COLLEGIAL SUPPORT GROUP:
1.) Kentucky math interventionists may register at any time. You do not need to be able to attend every virtual ZOOM meeting to register and receive the monthly newsletter; however, the 2026-2027 KY MIT Welcome Kit and the Support Boxes will only be mailed to active participants (those who are able to attend the ZOOM meetings).
2.) The kits will be mailed to the address you enter on your registration. The KCM cannot mail to P.O. Boxes. Please provide the address for where your office is located. If you work for the entire school district, but your office is located at one school in the District, provide the address for that school but enter your position title as District Math Interventionist.

2027 KCM Conference: Monday & Tuesday, March 8-9, Lexington, KY

Each year, the Kentucky Center for Mathematics (KCM) brings together math educators from Kentucky and across the United States for two days of outstanding professional learning. The KCM Annual Conference is a premier professional learning event for math educators. Attendees learn from nationally recognized keynote speakers and choose from more than 60 breakout sessions across the two-day conference.

Please note that the 2027 KCM Conference is a pre-pay event. Your registration fee must be paid within 45 days of the date your register or by March 5, 2027 - whichever comes first.

2027 KCM CONFERENCE OVERVIEW:

COST:

$200 per person - EARLY-BIRD REGISTRATION (Tuesday, September 1, 2026 through Friday, December 11, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EST)
$250 per person - REGULAR REGISTRATION (Saturday, December 12, 2026, through Friday, February 19, 2027, at 11:59 p.m. EST)

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION RATE:
All early-bird registration fees must be paid within 45 days of registration. After January 25, 2027, any unpaid early-bird registration fees will automatically be increased to the REGULAR registration rate, and a revised invoice will be emailed to the registered attendee. A purchase order does not constitute payment. Payment must be made by check or credit card.

REGISTRATION DISCOUNTS:
LEAD SPEAKERS of breakout sessions receive a discounted registration fee of $100! (Any co-speakers must register at the applicable registration rate.) Speaker proposals will be accepted from September 1 through November 13, 2026.

Registration is limited to 600 attendees. Once 600 people have registered, registration will close and a waitlist will be established.

HOTEL RESERVATIONS:

Your 2027 KCM Conference registration does not include hotel accommodations at the Marriott Lexington Griffin Gate. If you need a hotel room, you are responsible for making your own reservation. The Marriott Lexington Griffin Gate will hold a large block of rooms at a discounted rate of $145 per night for 2027 KCM Conference attendees. REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION EMAIL:

Anyone who successfully completes registration for the 2027 KCM Conference will receive a registration confirmation email from kcm@nku.edu. Because this email will include a copy of your invoice as an attachment, it may be directed to your junk or spam folder. Please check your junk and spam folders after registering for emails from the KCM about this event. If you do not receive a registration confirmation email, please call the KCM at 859-572-7690.

YOUR 2027 KCM CONFERENCE INVOICE:
The KCM will email a copy of your invoice to the email address listed on the attendee contact page on your registration. Your invoice will not be sent to anyone else, so it is your responsibility to forward a copy of your invoice to the appropriate person at your school, district, or organization who is responsible for paying your registration fee. The KCM does not mail invoices.
Your 2027 KCM Conference invoice must be paid within 45 days of registration or before the conference, whichever comes first!
Some school districts require a purchase order number to appear on an invoice before payment can be processed. If you register and then obtain a purchase order, you must email a copy of the purchase order to the KCM so we can update your registration and email you an updated invoice showing the PO number.

PURCHASE ORDER INFORMATION:
A purchase order does not pay an invoice. Invoices may be paid only by check or credit card. It is your responsibility to obtain a purchase order if one is required by your school district. There are 171 public school districts in Kentucky and thousands of individual schools. The KCM does not know the purchase order requirements for every school or district. Some school districts require you to obtain a purchase order before registering, while others require you to register before obtaining a purchase order. The purchase order process can take six to eight weeks for some schools, so it is important to begin the process before or as soon as you register.

The following are the typical steps for obtaining a purchase order and paying your invoice:
Complete a purchase requisition.
Once your purchase requisition is approved, you will receive a purchase order.
Email a copy of the purchase order to the KCM.
The KCM will email you an updated copy of your invoice showing the PO number.
Give the updated invoice to the person responsible for submitting payment.
Payment is made against the purchase order by check or credit card.

KCM REGISTRATION CANCELLATION POLICY- LAST DAY TO CANCEL IS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2027:

If you register and later find that you are unable to attend for any reason, you must contact the KCM at 859-572-7690 or kcm@nku.edu by Friday, February 19, 2027, to request that your registration and registration fee be canceled.

Beginning Monday, February 22, 2027, registration fees willo not be canceled, refunded, or waived. This is two weeks before the event and is when final attendee counts are determined. If you are unable to attend after this date, your school, school district, or organization may send someone to attend in your place. Otherwise, your registration fee must still be paid, even if you do not attend. If the KCM has a waitlist and is able to find someone from the waitlist to take your place, only then can your registration and registration fee be canceled, waived, or refunded.

CHECK-IN INFORMATION:
All registered attendees are required to check in for the KCM Conference only once. If possible, please check in Sunday evening or early Monday morning before the conference begins. Early check-in will be available Sunday, March 7, 2027, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Monday morning check-in will begin at 7:00 a.m. on March 8. At check-in, attendees will receive their 2027 KCM Conference name badge, which must be worn both days.
