2027 KCM Conference: Monday & Tuesday, March 8-9, Lexington, KY 
Each year, the Kentucky Center for Mathematics (KCM) brings together math educators from Kentucky and across the United States for two days of outstanding professional learning. The KCM Conference is a premier professional learning event for math educators. Attendees learn from nationally recognized keynote speakers and choose from more than 60 breakout sessions across the two-day conference.

Please note that the 2027 KCM Conference is a prepay event. Your registration fee must be paid within 45 days of registration or by March 5, 2027, whichever comes first.

COST: 
$200 per person - EARLY-BIRD REGISTRATION (Tuesday, September 1, 2026 through Friday, December 11, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EST)
$250 per person - REGULAR REGISTRATION (Saturday, December 12, 2026, through Friday, February 19, 2027, at 11:59 p.m. EST)  

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION RATE:
All early-bird registration fees must be paid within 45 days of registration. After January 25, 2027, any unpaid early-bird registration fees will automatically be increased to the REGULAR registration rate, and a revised invoice will be emailed to the registered attendee. A purchase order does not constitute payment. Payment must be made by check or credit card.      

REGISTRATION DISCOUNTS:
LEAD SPEAKERS of breakout sessions receive a discounted registration fee of $100! (Any co-speakers must register at the applicable registration rate.) Speaker proposals will be accepted from September 1 through November 13, 2026.
 
REGISTRATION CAP:
Registration is limited to 600 attendees. Once 600 people have registered, registration will close and a waitlist will be established.

FOOD AND DRINK:
Coffee, tea and water stations will be available both days. A hot buffet lunch will be provided to all registered attendees both days.  
 
HOTEL RESERVATIONS:
Your 2027 KCM Conference registration does not include hotel accommodations at the Marriott Lexington Griffin Gate. If you need a hotel room, you are responsible for making your own reservation. The Marriott Lexington Griffin Gate will hold a large block of rooms at a discounted rate of $145 per night for 2027 KCM Conference attendees. REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION EMAIL:
Anyone who successfully completes registration for the 2027 KCM Conference will receive a registration confirmation email from kcm@nku.edu. Because this email will include a copy of your invoice as an attachment, it may be directed to your junk or spam folder. Please check your junk and spam folders after registering for emails from the KCM about this event. If you do not receive a registration confirmation email, please call the KCM at 859-572-7690. 

YOUR 2027 KCM CONFERENCE INVOICE:
The KCM will email a copy of your invoice to the email address listed on the attendee contact page on your registration. Your invoice will not be sent to anyone else, so it is your responsibility to forward a copy of your invoice to the appropriate person at your school, district, or organization who is responsible for paying your registration fee. The KCM does not mail invoices. 

Your 2027 KCM Conference invoice must be paid within 45 days of registration or before the conference, whichever comes first!

Some school districts require a purchase order number to appear on an invoice before payment can be processed. If you register and then obtain a purchase order, you must email a copy of the purchase order to the KCM so we can update your registration and email you an updated invoice showing the PO number.

PURCHASE ORDER INFORMATION:
A purchase order does not pay an invoice. Invoices may be paid only by check or credit card. It is your responsibility to obtain a purchase order if one is required by your school district. There are 171 public school districts in Kentucky and thousands of individual schools. The KCM does not know the purchase order requirements for every school or district. Some school districts require you to obtain a purchase order before registering, while others require you to register before obtaining a purchase order.  The purchase order process can take six to eight weeks for some schools, so it is important to begin the process before or as soon as you register.

The following are the typical steps for obtaining a purchase order and paying your invoice:   
  • Complete a purchase requisition.
  • Once your purchase requisition is approved, you will receive a purchase order.
  • Email a copy of the purchase order to the KCM.
  • The KCM will email you an updated copy of your invoice showing the PO number.
  • Give the updated invoice to the person responsible for submitting payment.
  • Payment is made against the purchase order by check or credit card.
KCM REGISTRATION CANCELLATION POLICY- LAST DAY TO CANCEL IS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2027:
If you register and later find that you are unable to attend for any reason, you must contact the KCM at 859-572-7690 or kcm@nku.edu by Friday, February 19, 2027, to request that your registration and registration fee be canceled.

Beginning Monday, February 22, 2027, registration fees will not be canceled, refunded, or waived. This date is two weeks before the event and is when final attendance numbers are determined. If you are unable to attend after this date, your school, school district, or organization may send someone in your place. Otherwise, your registration fee must still be paid, even if you do not attend. Your registration and registration fee may be canceled, waived, or refunded only if the KCM has a waitlist and can find someone from the waitlist to take your place.

CHECK-IN INFORMATION:
All registered attendees are required to check in for the KCM Conference only once. If possible, please check in Sunday evening or early Monday morning before the conference begins. Early check-in will be available Sunday, March 7, 2027, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Monday morning check-in will begin at 7:00 a.m. on March 8. At check-in, attendees will receive their 2027 KCM Conference name badge, which must be worn both days.

ABOUT THE KENTUCKY CENTER FOR MATHEMATICS (KCM):
The Kentucky Center for Mathematics (KCM) is a state-legislated nonprofit organization that provides professional learning opportunities and resources for Kentucky math educators. The KCM's main offices are located on the campus of Northern Kentucky University (NKU) in Highland Heights, Kentucky. KCM directors, faculty associates, regional consultants, and math mentors live and work throughout the state.
