FLUENCY READINESS ASSESSMENT WEBINAR #4 SESSION DESCRIPTOR:
In this virtual session, participants will take a closer look at fluency readiness with fractions and fraction operations by exploring the foundational standards, the thinking behind why they were chosen, and the instructional focus embedded within them. Together, we will examine how thoughtfully designed assessment items aligned to these standards help teachers understand students’ readiness for understanding fractions as numbers and fraction operations. Participants will also view video examples of the assessment in action and reflect on what this evidence reveals about students’ conceptual understanding and growth. The session will end with an open Q&A with the assessment creators.
