Event Description
Nelson County Schools has contracted with the KCM to provide customized professional learning for the 2023-24 school year.
This event is only for teachers from Nelson County Schools.
Sessions 1-3 on August 1-3, 2023 held at at Foster Heights Elementary School, 211 E. Muir St., Bardstown, KY 40004   (502) 349-7030
Session 4 on October 9, 2023 held at Thomas Nelson High School, 150 Generals Blvd, Bardstown, KY 40004
6/15/23: Nelson County said participant count would be 30 teachers. Materials cost $400 per participant. 30 X $400 = $12,000.
KCM delivered materials for 30 participants on 7/31/23 to Foster Heights Elementary.

Teresa Henderson (DIRECTOR) will be billed for the cost of the materials for this course. The KCM will pay for the facilitator's time and travel.
Hope Daugherty replaced Teresa Henderson. (Per Kelly DeLong 11/15/23)

INVOICING:
Originally Teresa Henderson (Director) was to be invoiced for the cost of materials for all three cohorts (PreK, K-2, and 3-5) through her KCM member record and a non-dues invoice #1717; however, Nelson County later asked that the individual schools be invoiced. This has caused an issue because the number of participants who actually attended each cohort is lower than the number of materials kits the KCM prepared for each cohort. The KCM is trying to determine who should be invoiced for the "unused" materials that the KCM provided and left in Nelson County. 11/15/23: Kelly spoke with Hope Daugherty about getting Foster Heights and the New Haven School's invoices paid.

This cohort is for the K-2 Mathematics Professional Learning facilitated by KCM RC Julie Adams
Session 1: Tuesday, August 1, 2023: (Full-day session) Julie Adams = Learner-Centered Math K-2 Classroom.
Session 2: Wednesday, August 2, 2023: (Full-day session) Julie Adams = Learner-Centered Math K-2 Classroom
Session 3: Thursday, August 3, 2023: (Full-day session) Julie Adams = Counting to Chunking
29 people attended Sessions 1-3 at Foster Heights Elementary. 1 teacher on maternity leave & they took a kit for her. = 30 kits total.
Session 4: Monday, October 9, 2023: (Half-day Session) Julie Adams = Counting to Chunking. 8:30 - 11:30 am
Only 9 people attended Session 4. 1 was the principal from Foster Heights. 1 was a new teacher who did not attend Sessions 1-3. So only 7 of the original 29 attended     Session 4. This session was held at a Nelson County High School. The teachers could choose which session to attend. The other sessions were provided by Nelson     County;  one of the other options was a session on the new curriculum so a lot of the teachers chose to attend that instead.
Session 5: Tuesday, January 2, 2024: (Half-day Session) Julie Adams = Counting to Chunking
