Event Description
2024-2025 MAF: Intensive PL in Math Coaching for Math Coaches & Teacher Leaders - Math Fact Fluency (Dr Marin and Dr Bay-Williams)
This professional learning event is required for all 2024-2025 MAF Math Coaches from COHORT 1 and their two Teacher Leaders. This intensive year-long math coaching professional learning is focused on Math Fact Fluency and will be facilitated by KCM Faculty Associates, Dr. Kate Marin and Dr. Jennifer Bay-Williams - both of whom work at the University of Louisville.

Year three of the Math Achievement Fund Grant will be an immersive experience in how to design basic fact teaching, practice, and assessments in ways that ensure students develop these mathematical proficiencies. This is consistent with the KAS for Mathematics content and practice standards K-5.

This event covers a full year of Math Fact Fluency professional learning, including the following: a 2-Day Summer Institute, a 2-Day Fall Institute, a 1-Day Spring Session, 3 virtual sessions between the face-to-face sessions, materials provided for every participant (one math coach and two teacher leaders from each MAF school), and a Math Fact Fluency Teaching/Lesson Study.
