Event Description
2024-2025 MAF: Evaluation Training for Math Coaches, District and KCM Math Coach Evaluators (KDE and SRI) This half-day professional learning event is required for the 2024-2025 MAF COHORT 1 Math Coaches, the identified district personnel who will serve as Math Coach Evaluators, and the KCM personnel working with Math Coaches. Participants will learn about the updated MAF Coaching Conversation Observation Rubric and how to use the rubric with the Math Coach to grow their coaching skills.
Before registering for this training, the KDE asks that each MAF Coach, their District Evaluator and their KCM Evaluator get together to select either the morning or afternoon session that enables all 3 to attend the same session. This will enable productive and fruitful conversation during this training.
This training will be facilitated by the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) and SRI.
There are two options for this Training - a MORNING SESSION or an AFTERNOON SESSION:
1. MORNING: Monday, September 30, 2024; 9:00 am - 12:00 pm ET, at the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet - Room C107 (200 Mero St, Frankfort, KY 40601) 2. AFTERNOON: Monday, September 30, 2024: 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm ET, at the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet - Room C107 (200 Mero St, Frankfort, KY 40601)
Participants will select the appropriate registration package for the session they will attend - MORNING OR AFTERNOON.
The funding for this professional learning event will be paid via the Math Achievement Fund (MAF) Grant by the the Kentucky Department of Education (KDE) through the Kentucky Center for Mathematics (KCM). Therefore, individual participants will register using a $00 registration package.
