Event Description
The KCM has contracted with Berea Independent Schools to provide Math Recovery's Add+VantageMR® (AVMR) Course 1 for 18 participants.

In this course, participants will learn assessments and teaching strategies for advancing students’ foundational knowledge in counting, numeral identification, structuring numbers to 20, and addition and subtraction. 
 
Participants will receive an AVMR® Course 1 kit and complete Add+Vantage MR® Course 1 developed by the US Math Recovery Council (link: https://www.mathrecovery.org/professional-development/addvantage-mr ) through 5 IN-PERSON sessions with KCM Regional Consultant Lisa Riggs. 

* Participants MUST attend all 5 in-person sessions and complete all assigned course work in order to earn AVMR 1 certification. .   

COST: The individual participants will not be invoiced. Berea Independent Schools/Berea Community Elementary/Letitia Daugherty will be invoiced for the AVMR 1 kits for all 18 participants.

The KCM is a legislated, state-funded, non-profit agency that provides professional learning events and materials for math educators. Our main office is located on the campus of Northern Kentucky University (NKU) in Highland Heights, Kentucky.
