Event Description
KCM's Knott County Schools - District Support - ELEMENTARY K-4 - Julie Adams (2024-25)
The Kentucky Center for Mathematics (KCM) has contracted with Knott County Schools to provide customized District Support for 2024-2025. 

The contacts at Knott County Schools are:

  • NOTE: All this sessions of this professional learning event will meet at Knott County Central High School located at 76 Patriot Lane, Hindman, KY 41822. 
This registration event will record the ELEMENTARY K-4 educators from Knott County Schools who attend this customized professional learning event for KNOTT COUNTY SCHOOLS. The facilitator for this event will be KCM Regional Consultant Julie Adams.  All Knott District K-4 teachers will attend all 3 sessions together:  Session 1 on 8/12/24, Session 2 on 9/11/24, and session 3 on 1/29/25.

TIME: 9:00 am - 12:45 pm Eastern. (Lunch from 11:10 am - 12:00 pm)

Follow-up Support Sessions: 
FALL 2024: Wednesday, September 11, 2024; 8:30 am - 3:00 pm at Knott County Central High School
SPRING 2025: Wednesday, January 29, 2025; 8:30 am - 3:00 pm at Knott County Central High School

Here are the Total Number Number of Teachers Per Grade Level: 
Kindergarten:  9
1st Grade:  7
2nd Grade:  7
3rd Grade:  6
4th Grade:  6
Special Education:  14
TOTAL PARTICIPANTS: 49

At Session 1, each teacher will receive:
A booklet containing the Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) for their grade level(s)
A KCM folder containing a copy set for Session 1
A copy of the book Principles to Action
A  boxed materials KIT 1 for their grade level (# of boxes per participant varies by grade level - all boxes clearly labeled.)

The KCM is a legislated, state-funded, non-profit agency that provides professional learning events and materials for math educators. Our main office is located on the campus of Northern Kentucky University (NKU) in Highland Heights, Kentucky.
