Explorations in Early Numeracy K-1 with Cindy Aossey - VIRTUAL (2025-2026)

The Stages of Early Arithmetical Learning (SEAL) describes a progression through which young children make sense of quantity, addition and subtraction. Join KCM Director Cindy Aossey to explore the SEAL together. This professional learning event is FREE for for all Kindergarten and 1st Grade Educators. (Educators outside of Kentucky are welcome to register and attend). Two half-day sessions will meet virtually via live ZOOM meetings. Sessions will not be recorded so participants must be able to attend both sessions as scheduled.
During Session 1, participants will be introduced to the SEAL through the use of video exemplars and discussion.
During Session 2, participants will connect the SEAL to the Kentucky Academic Standards-Mathematics and explore instructional experiences that will support students in meeting Grade K and 1 standards in the CC and OA domains.
