Event Description
2025 KCM Conference: Monday and Tuesday, March 3 & 4 - Lexington, KY     

Each year, the Kentucky Center for Mathematics (KCM) brings together math educators from Kentucky and across the United States for two days of wonderful professional learning. The KCM's annual math conference is one of the best conferences for math educators in the United States! Attendees learn from nationally recognized keynote speakers and choose from over 60 breakout sessions over the two days.        

2025 KCM Conference Overview:
THEME: Counting on Each Other: Together We Add Up
LOCATION: Marriott Griffin Gate - 1800 Newtown Pike, Lexington, KY 40511
DATES: Monday and Tuesday, March 3 & 4, 2025
TIME: 8:00 am - 3:30 pm Eastern
COST : 
  • $200 per person EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION (Friday, September 13, 2024, through Friday, December 13, 2024 at 11:59 pm)
  • $250 per person REGULAR REGISTRATION (Saturday, December 14, 2024, through Friday, February 14, 2025, at 11:59 pm)  
  • LEAD SPEAKERS of Breakout Sessions receive a discounted registration fee of only $100; CO-SPEAKERS of breakout sessions must register themselves at the Early Bird or Regular registration fee rate.  
REGISTRATION CAP: 590 attendees. (Once 590 people register, registrations will close and a wait list will be added.)

FOOD AND DRINK:
  • Coffee, tea and water stations will be available both days.   
  • A hot buffet lunch will be provided to all registered attendees both days. 
  • Breakfast will not be provided either day.    
 CHECK-IN TIMES:
  • All registered attendees must check in at the KCM Conference check-in table only once; If possible, please check-in Sunday night or early Monday morning before the Conference starts:  
    • Early Check-in will be available Sunday night, March 2, 2025, from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. 
    • Monday morning check-in will start at 7:00 am. 
  • At check-in, attendees will receive their 2025 KCM Conference NAME BADGE which they need to wear both days.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS: Your 2025 KCM Conference registration does not include hotel room reservations at the Griffin Gate. If you need a hotel room, you must make those hotel reservations yourself. The Griffin Gate will hold a large block of rooms at a discounted rate for 2025 KCM Conference attendees. When you contact the Griffin Gate to make hotel reservations for Sunday, March 2, 2025 and/or Monday, March 3, 2025 be sure to tell them you are attending the 2025 KCM Conference to get the discounted room rate. REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION EMAIL:
Please note that anyone who successfully completes their registration for the 2025 KCM Conference will receive a registration confirmation email from kcm@nku.edu. This email - because it will have a copy of your invoice attached - often goes to the recipient's junk or spam folder. Please check your junk and spam folders regularly after you register for emails from the KCM about this event. 

INFORMATION FOR ANYONE SUBMITTING A SPEAKER PROPOSAL TO BE A LEAD SPEAKER OF A BREAKOUT SESSION:
1. Speaker Proposals are due by Friday, November 15, 2024. 
2. Applicants will be notified by Monday, December 2, 2024, whether their speaker proposal has been accepted or not.
3. The KCM encourages everyone who submits a speaker proposal to register themselves at the Early Bird rate - but to NOT pay that invoice. Your invoice will be due on January 16, 45 days after speaker selections are announced.   
4. If your speaker proposal is accepted and you registered yourself at the Early Bird rate, the KCM will switch your registration to the $100 discounted Lead Speaker rate and will send you an updated invoice.
5. If your speaker proposal is accepted and you are not yet registered, the KCM will register you at the $100 discounted Lead Speaker rate.
4. Anyone whose speaker proposal is not accepted, and anyone who is the CO-SPEAKER for a breakout session, should register themselves at the Early Bird rate through December 13, 2024, or at the Regular rate from December 14, 2024, through February 14, 2025.  

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR 2025 KCM CONFERENCE INVOICE:
1. The KCM emails a copy of the registration fee invoice to each registered person. It is that person's responsibility to forward a copy of their invoice on to whomever at their school/district/organization is responsible for paying it. The KCM does not mail any invoices.  
2. Your 2025 KCM Conference invoice must be paid before the conference! Payment is due no later than 45 days after you register or by Friday, February 28, 2025 - whichever comes first.  (Except those who submitted a Speaker Proposal: Their payment is due 45 days after speaker selections are announced on Dec 2 - which is January 16, 2025) 
3. Some school districts require a purchase order number be on your invoice before they will pay it. If you register and then obtain a Purchase Order, please provide that PO# to the KCM via email or phone so we can add it to your registration and send an updated invoice to you or to the person at your school or district that needs it. 

KCM REGISTRATION CANCELATION POLICY - LAST DAY TO CANCEL IS FRIDAY 2/14/2025:
1. If you register and then find that you will be unable to attend for any reason, you must contact the KCM at 859-572-7690 or kcm@nku.edu by Friday, 2/14/25 to request that the KCM void your registration and its registration fee.  
2. Starting Monday, February 17, 2025, your registration fee cannot be voided, refunded or waived for any reason. This is 2 weeks before the event and when attendee counts are finalized. If you find you are unable to attend after that date, your school/school district or organization should send someone to attend in your place as your registration fee must still be paid - even if you do not attend. 

ABOUT THE KENTUCKY CENTER FOR MATHEMATICS (KCM). 
The KCM is a state-legislated, non-profit organization that provides professional learning events and materials for Kentucky math educators. The KCM's main offices are located on the campus of Northern Kentucky University (NKU) in Highland Heights, KY, and the KCM employs Directors, Faculty Associates, Regional Consultants and Math Mentors who live and work throughout the state.
